Let's Toast Our 2018 Ride Leaders!

“That’s a great ride…nice route!…I had a great time on the ride!”

Did you ever find yourself making similar comments at the end of a ride?  On Oct 17, we will salute the people who made RBC rides possible at 7p at the Nyack Library. After a short meeting in the Maker Space room on the ground floor, we will adjourn to the the Brick House, just up the street, for by an actual toast. And the Rockland Bicycling Club is buying the first round.

It’s also a night where you can ask questions and learn about becoming a ride leader. Where should rides start? What’s the best pace and places to stop (or should you stop at all?) Aren’t all rides on weekends? Don’t I need special training? This is your chance to get all your answers from experienced leaders.

We would like to add new rides and routes in 2019 with start times and starting locations that work for everyone — that work for you! To do that we need new leaders with new ideas. It’s time to start thinking about 2019 rides now. We hope you can attend.

Come salute our 2018 Ride Leaders on Oct. 17th

As always, our ride captains, Paul Langus and Steve Brehl are happy to hear your ideas by email or text, too.
