This week’s route includes lots of water views, a car-free rail trail and a few of Rockland’s finest hills. It’s about 30 miles and 1350 feet of climbing.

We'll spin south to Oak Tree Rd, take the Clark Rail Trail to Western Hwy, head north on Strawtown Rd and return via 9W.

Here’s the route map the Ring Around Lake DeForest ride.

Meetup at the upper level of Nyack Memorial Park, at the corner of Piermont & Depew Aves. Make sure you bring your helmet, have food, 1-2 bottles of water and anything necessary for bike repair (air pump/CO2, tubes, patch kit, etc.) This is a no-drop ride.

Wondering Weather Or Not We Will Ride? If rain threatens and you are wondering “weather” or not we are going to ride…if it’s raining 30 minutes before start time, go back to bed. Same decision if storms are predicted during the time we will be riding. Check for radar and an hour by hour forecast.

Remember that this ride and all future rides will be posted at
