|
|
You love your bike. You love riding your bike. And you love the RBC. Wouldn't it be great to have some way to commemorate your riding and help the club at the same time? Introducing the club's newest project — rider portraits.
Here's how it works: We'll have a variety of portrait dates available, sign up here in the comments in order to be contacted about a date. We'll be doing portrait sittings, both with a backdrop and in Piermont with the Hudson river behind (probably both on the same date). (Additionally, we can also do a riding portrait on a local road, but that requires a higher contribution, and a separate date.)
Those photographed will get a full size JPEG of their photos and a print of their images. We're also going to ask you to let us use the (approved) portraits for a new poster campaign we're doing, called "I am the Rockland Bicycling Club"
It's $40 for the portraits (more if you'd like a shot while riding). The money is going directly into the club treasury. Sign up here by commenting on this thread. |

Will there be an opportunity for group photos too? I don't have photos with most of my RBC friends and I'd really like to. _________________ ---

| We're in... (Are family portraits doable? I'd guess the same answer as above, but what the heck... Maybe $50?) |

Well, Because we're doing this as a bike thing family portraits are okay, but they'd have to be with bikes in cycling gear. We'd probably have to do them as a secondary shot, they don't fit in as well with the poster idea we're doing.
So, we'd have to charge more to have a family shot as part of this. |

Hi Stephanie, - the portraits David took (a couple years ago) are so cool-
when he's around, there's usually a camera or two ...
You might've seen some of those portraits on one of the club posters at a couple of bike shops.
Want to do it again, David? |

What a fun idea!
Can this be organised again? :-) I love the way I look in my biking clothes. |

Susie, Stephanie, Katie and everybody -
I talked to David about holding a new portrait session or two; unfortunately, with his schedule these days and in the foreseeable future, he just can't manage it. Sorry to all who might be disappointed. |

Well, thanks for looking into it for us, Rita. Maybe in the future or something.
