Many bike clubs use a "ride level" system as a shorthand to describe the distance or the intensity of a ride. This isn't a perfect system...what's the difference between a B+ and a C level ride?

We try hard to include enough information about our rides in the description of the ride, but here's the breakdown on ride levels so you can understand the shorthand.

Welcome Ride for New and Long-Time Members Alike
Saturday, July 31st, 2010 at 9:00 am | RBC Club Ride | Posted by: Cyrus Afzali

New and old-time RBC members are urged to come out for the classic Suffern-Ridgewood loop for some nice spinning and socializing. We'll do about 20 miles at a C+/B pace, depending on group consensus.

Details:

We'll begin at Clark Park, leaving Suffern and journey through Airmont before hitting Bergen County and continuing down Saddle River Road until Ridgewood. At Ridgewood, we'll stop for some brief socializing so that any new members can get to know some of the more "veteran" members of the club, ask any bike-related questions, etc.

We'll do about 20 miles at a C+/B pace, depending on group consensus. The ride does have a couple of hills, although nothing too strenuous and the surface is great! As always is the case on my rides, NO ONE GETS DROPPED, so come out and have fun! Please make sure to bring plenty of hydration, as there aren't a lot of places to stop along the route.
