Ardo, Brett, Dan, Kevin, Mike, and I met at David's for the start.  A few of us had time restrictions today, so we planned a short ride.  To make up for the lack of miles, we made sure to include some good climbs.  The ride from New City to The Cove gave us the chance to warm up for the first climb.  Knowing that we had to be home for other commitments, Dan set a good pace.

Climb 1 was Buckberg.  It was a first for Ardo and Brett, and they were impressed.  We took Mott Farm and Cedar Flats (decidedly not flat) over to Gate Hill, the second climb.  I was impressed to see Brett drop just about everyone on Gate Hill.  He seems to be stronger every week.  Mike keeps his cool through any climb, but even he was sweating when we got to the top of climb 2.

We all enjoyed the descent down Willow Grove, with Kevin putting us all to shame.  Strava says he hit 53.7 mph.  Thrilling.  I looked over at Ardo at the end of the descent, and he was one huge grin.

We soon arrived at the last notable climb of the day: Cheesecote the back way.  It's an easier climb that direction, but it still has its challenges.

This was a terrific group to ride with.  We rode together easily, and everyone was smiling at the end.  Those with time added a few extra miles, but we had ridden together for about 30 miles with about 2,600 feet of climbing.  A short ride, but we all felt like we had been on our bikes.  Many thanks to all for an enjoyable morning.
